Once you’ve made your selections, your chosen photographs will receive their final professional edits and be delivered as high-resolution digital downloads.

Your session can take place at a park, around downtown Doylestown, at your home or somewhere personally meaningful to your family. If you don’t already have a location in mind, I can help you choose one based on the season, lighting and look you want.

Outfit Guidance
You don’t need to purchase an entirely new wardrobe. I’ll provide basic guidance to help your family choose colors and outfits that coordinate without looking overly matched.

Direction During the Session
Most people feel at least a little uncomfortable in front of a camera. I’ll guide you through flattering positions, natural interactions and simple movements so nobody has to wonder what to do.

Professional Editing
Your finished gallery will be edited for consistent color, lighting, retouching, and overall appearance. You’ll receive both traditional family portraits and the candid moments that happen throughout the session.

Straightforward Digital Delivery
Your images will be delivered through an easy-to-use online gallery. You can download them, share them with relatives and arrange your own prints without being pressured into a complicated sales appointment.
Professional Prints
Professional-quality prints can be purchased separately after your final gallery is delivered. Available products may include standard prints, enlargements and other keepsakes.
Prints are not included in the session price. Every package includes high-resolution digital downloads and personal printing rights, so you may purchase professional prints through your gallery or print the photographs independently.

A Relaxed Experience for Children and Parents
One of the biggest concerns parents have before a session is whether their children will cooperate. The honest answer is that children do not need to behave perfectly for us to create great photographs.
​
We’ll give them opportunities to move, explore and interact with you. If someone needs a quick break, we take one. If a child isn’t interested in a particular pose, we adjust instead of allowing the entire session to become stressful.
​
Your family doesn’t need to perform. My job is to work with the personalities and energy you bring that day while still creating a gallery you’ll be excited to receive.
When Should You Schedule Family Photos?
Family sessions are available throughout the year, but the look and availability change with the seasons.

Spring provides fresh greenery and comfortable temperatures. Summer offers later sunsets and more scheduling flexibility. Fall is the most popular season because of the foliage and holiday-card timing, while winter can work well for cozy sessions at home or seasonal outdoor portraits.

October and early November dates often fill first. If you want fall family photos in Doylestown or Bucks County, try to schedule several weeks in advance.

Outdoor sessions are usually planned around golden hour, when the sunlight is softer and more flattering. The exact start time will depend on the season and selected location.
What Should We Wear?
Your outfits should coordinate without making everyone look identical. Neutral colors, earth tones and complementary shades usually photograph well.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it rains?
If the weather makes an outdoor session impractical, we’ll work together to select a new date. Cloudy weather alone usually isn’t a problem and can create flattering, even lighting.

How long does it take to receive our photographs?
Finished galleries are generally delivered within two weeks. If you need photographs by a particular date, such as a holiday-card deadline, mention it before booking.

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, provided the selected location allows pets. Bringing treats, a leash and someone who can hold the dog between photographs can make the session easier.​

Can we order prints?
After the session, I can arrange print options for you. Just ask!
